Welcome to Press Room Techniques Inc.
The Shuffle Drive system can be used in a variety of ways for any
number of applications. The system can move material such as, aggregate,
steel scrap, cereal, finished parts, waste materials, gravel, paint
sludge, parts heated to 1500 degrees, furnace fuel, potato chips,
plastic parts, paper products, or anything that required a conveyor
system. Parts can be moved by the Shuffle Drive at minimal speeds
of a few pounds per hour from the Model 7 to 60 tonnes per hour from
the Model 20.
The process of removing scrap material can be both costly and frustrating,
as scrap material is not considered important because manufacturers
are more concerned about the finished product, little consideration
has been given to developing a more cost effective solution. These
were the thoughts of Paul Tamlin, President and founder of Press Room
Techniques Inc. The company set out to develop a new system that would
be not only reliable but as efficient, quieter and more robust than
any other on the market.
With experience as a maintenance supervisor, preventive maintenance
coordinator and industrial research and development consultant, he
began to design a new mechanical system. His idea was simple, a motor
moves a drive shaft on an output hub through a reciprocating motion.
The effect is that as the drive shaft accelerates forward pushing
the material on the tray ahead several inches, then slowly returning
to its original position leaving the material in the same spot and
begining the cycle again. The system took shape and he named it the
Shuffle Drive, now availible in several different sizes and types
with a tray and trough conveyor version. The Shuffle Drive does exactly
what Paul set out to do. Move material quickly, quietly, reliably
and with very little maintenance required.
The patented Shuffle Drive unit can be made to fit any press
or pit and modified for any situation. A reliable and cost effective
tool for companies that wish to increase profits through lowering
material handling and scrap removal costs.
